I stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience, the room was spacious, airy, and had amazing mountain views, definitely worth more than 3 stars.

Because we booked on line it was relatively cheap.
We expected a large romantic top class hotel set in the mountains with an olympic sized pool. We found a cheap looking very small site with a very, very small pool. You could watch and clearly hear large trucks drive by on the main road as you sat in the pool. The rooms like the whole complex (we are talking about a hotel set in grounds no bigger than a large car park) were 'mock' historical, small, lacking in any coffee or tea facilities, had small plastic cups rather than glasses and staff who were rude and indifferent. When we arrived we were 'told off' by the receptionist for booking online as this gave us a reduced rate (we have no idea why), and when I brought our cases from the car into reception I was told I had to move them as we were not in the main building but on the 3rd floor across the drive. When I asked was there a lift I was laughed at. No-one offered to help us. The worst insult was when we tried to book into the restaurant we were told it was full and that the only other way to eat was to order a take away pizza. We were given a cheap looking take away menu. We ignored this advice and instead found an excellent gourmand restaurant and hotel (Chavant) less than 5 minutes away. Their staff and food was absolutely wonderful. Next time we are in the area we are staying there!

Very nice interior. Friendly reception team. Big parking and garden. Interesting beautiful restaurant, with nice cuisine, dishes well presented.
The price in the restaurant is too high. It would be good to have 1-2 hours "welcome" spa for guests, to have an idea what is inside. Cleaning service was very obsession, I was disturbed even when "Do not disturb" label was shown. Cleaning was not very careful, their main task was tidy up the bed.

All hotel staff very friendly and helpful and most spoke excellent English.Good walks in woods above hotel.
The room wasn't particularly clean. Blood on the wall just above sanitary bin. Also my wife thought she had been bitten by bed bugs.Food very elaborate and expensive. For lunch we had one course each and one bottle of wine, no coffee for 111 euros. The sea bass was not fresh and the fillet steak ordered presque bleu arrived very overcooked and tough. The hotel was rather depressing in appearance and shabby.

Location: the hotel was near to the centre, the outskirts of Grenoble, and the city center of Grenoble. The rooms were luxurious and beautifully decorated with a patio. The staffs were excellent & amicable.

The chateau is set in beautiful surrounding grounds & gardens that you can walk around & relax in. The staff are friendly & relaxed & the rooms are quite large. As we had a car, the fact that the main town of Grenoble was
